BRUCIE NOSS
Jan29, 1977 - Feb17, 2002
Bruce W. Noss Jr. or Brucie, as I fondly called him by his childhood nickname, is my prescious only child who passed from cancer, lymphoma. He had just recieved a degree in Archecture 2 months before he died. I was so proud to watch him attend commencement and walk up to the platform to get his degree, even though he was in pain and sick from the chemotherapy. Sadly, he never got to have his first job in the field. Had he lived he would have been as asset to the world. He was a gentle prescious young man who trusted and accepted everyone at face value. As a small boy he loved Star Trek, and we would travel long distances on trains to attend the conventions. At one of convention he won first prize in the alien costume contest, which was awarded by Chekov from the original cast. His love of Star Trek continued and even on his last night alive he watched the ST video The Nexus.
As a young child he drew hundreds of sketches of futuristic cities which were remarkable. As a young man he took care of us while he worked part time and attended college part time. He bought many things for our house from his tiny paychecks which I treasure today. He was unselfish and caring. He had just turned 25 a few days before he died, and was so courageous during his illness and the chemotherapy and believed with his whole heart he would have a cure or remission, but the disease progressed, and this was not to be. Even when he could not speak the last couple days he would lip the words,     "I love you."
It was so sad to see such a promising and loving young man leave. His courage during his battle with cancer was an inspiration to me, he was an optomist and always believed.

I love you, my angel, Brucie, and when God calls me home we will be together again and you are in my heart forever.

Patty, I have visited Michael's site several times now, I keep being drawn back to it...what a wonderful young man he was... I know you miss him desperately...your site is a wonderful memorial for him... I am looking forward to knowing more things about Michael as you continue work on the site...because I feel like I know him.... I just want to give him a motherly hug. Michaels's story paralles my son's in so many ways. Bruce was a wonderful young man also, and he died of cancer, and I also, like you, watched his body decimated from the cancer. No mother should ever have to watch her child die. Like Michael, young Bruce had so much promise, he was a gentle young man who only saw the good in others. He also died on the 17th...of Feb 02. He was my only child and the true sweetness in my life.... I have attached a jpeg of Bruce, it was taken! 2 months before he passed, he was able to attend commencement and pick up his degree in Archecture even though he was on chemo...I was so proud of him. I hope someday to have a web site for him also, to honor his life, as you have Michaels. I would like to think they know each now, and are smiling down on us both.
